“I-I…” Maggie looked down, shaking her head and wiping her eyes. “No,” she admitted quietly, trying to keep herself composed. “Th-The house is a mess, but you can come in if you’d like.” She was blushing. Embarrassed at the state of the house and the fact that someone other than herself was going to see it in this state. “I’m so sorry about the mess. It’s been… A rough week,” she muttered quietly, moving to at least tidy up the kitchen a little. “Do you want anything to drink? Tea? Coffee? Milk? Water?”

Ted walked inside to see the mess. Wow. He thought. This place was usually a super organized area. It was almost as bad as his own house. He would’ve said something as a joke, but he didn’t want Maggie to break down crying or having a mini freak out. “I’ll have some coffee please.” Ted said politely as he sat down. “So, what’s going on?…” Ted asked after a few more minutes of silence in the messy house.

“I-I’m fine,” she said quietly, looking down to hide the tears welling up in her eyes. The only people in the neighborhood that knew what today was were her kids, and the Knights, and she wasn’t keen on having the neighborhood throw a pity party for her. She glanced at him through her eyelashes as he offered her a piece of waffle, unable to hold back a sad laugh. “You’re to much sometimes, Ted,” she said softly, taking the bit of waffle he offered her and taking a bite. It was the first thing she had eaten all weekend. “U-Um… I don’t know.” She was scared to talk. She knew that he was a widower, but still. It was such a depressing topic.

“Are you sure?” Ted asked with a concerned look as he finished off his own waffle. “I’m always willing to listen.” He said with a weary smile. Ted was used to hearing little problems, he always had to deal with his actors and old neighbors, so what was the difference with hearing about his friend Maggie’s? Ted loved comforting people, and considered himself pretty good at it.

I like this idea:

ted-dixon:

  • Mitch and Hayley get a one night stand
  • Hayley is preggers
  • Mitch thinks it’s his so when BennyBear finds out he flips his diva ass on him an kicks him out
  • Mitch lives and dates Hayley for him feeling bad
  • But Hayley finds out it’s not Mitchell’s
  • And it’s Teds
  • So they name the baby girl Leia.
  • And then Bitchy Men is OTP again.

Cons:

  • Teggie  Teddie is awesome. And Maggie would flip shit and Ted would be in a wreck.
  • Baby is Ted’s
  • Hayley is like OH FUCK NO
  • So she lets him keep it
  • Then Alan moves to LA and re marries Hayley
  • And then TED WITH LUKE AND LEIA AND TEGGIE!

Maggie was curled up in a ball on the couch when she heard a knock at the door. “O-Oh…” She sat up quickly, dabbing her eyes and looking around. The house was a mess! She was a mess… Nothing in the house was prepared for having a visitor. She gave a quiet sob at the horrible timing before taking a deep breath and wiping her face. She had to pull it together, at least long enough to tell whoever was at the door that she couldn’t have company at the moment. She folded the hanky, placing it on the coffee table before getting up and pulling the robe that was tossed over the arm of the couch on, tying it around herself. She brushed her hair back with her hands to make it seem like she had at least attempted to comb her hair that day before going to the door with a shaky voice. “Coming!” She took a deep breath, plastering the best smile she could on her face before opening the door, eyes and nose still red from crying. “H-Hello, Ted. Can I help you?”

Ted nommed on his little waffle as he heard scrambling within the house. He really did hope everything that was going on in there was ok. He really liked Maggie and hated seeing anyone getting hurt, none the less Maggie. When she opened the door Ted saw her being red. “A-are you ok?” Ted asked in a concerned voice. “Waffle?” He asked in a cheerier tune. He ripped off a tiny piece and held it out for Maggie. “Want to talk?”
